MSU student charged with making threats
EAST LANSING, Mich. — A Michigan State University student was arrested Oct. 20 after police were notified about a man making threats.
MSU Police received the call about 7:19 p.m. and shortly thereafter arrested Zachariah M. Aslam, 17, South Rockwood, Mich., on campus without incident.
Aslam is being charged with making a terrorist threat or false report of terrorism, a felony punishable by imprisonment for not more than 20 years.
He was arraigned today before East Lansing 54-B District Court Judge Richard Ball. He is currently lodged at the Ingham County Jail on $150,000 cash or surety bond.
