MSU police investigating a strong armed robbery
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Michigan State University Police department is investigating a strong armed robbery that occurred at 4:40 a.m. today at Snyder Hall near Bogue Street.
A 19-year-old student was walking into Snyder Hall when a silver four-door vehicle occupied by four males pulled into the metered spaces, police said. The student said that one male got out of the passenger’s side front seat and approached her, pulling her purse off her shoulder causing her to fall to the ground. Police did not believe any weapons were involved.
Police said she received minor injuries to her knees, but declined medical treatment.
The vehicle was last seen traveling southbound from the parking area in front of Snyder Hall. Police said the student described the suspects as four black men around twenty years of age. She said the man who took her purse was wearing a black shirt.
MSU police are asking anyone who was in the area and may have seen anything to contact the police department at (517) 355-2222.
