Woman reports sexual assault, police investigating

EAST LANSING, Mich. - Michigan State University Police are investigating a report of a sexual assault at Wells Hall around 10:45 a.m. today.

A 22-year-old student told police she was assaulted by a man after she exited Wells Hall.

The woman told police that someone grabbed her inappropriately and made obscene comments soon after she exited the building. As she turned around, the man pushed her against the brick wall, police said. As the man began to step toward her, she kicked and pushed him, and fled to her car in a nearby lot.

The woman did not sustain any injuries and did not seek medical attention, according to police.

Police said the student described the suspect as a white man in his early 20s with a medium build, about 6 feet tall and 185 pounds, with brown eyes and hair. He has a goatee and a deep voice, police said, and he was last seen wearing a grey hoodie and faded blue jeans.
